The collection features a full range of Federation and alien vessels including seven incarnations of the Enterprise, all the major Klingon vessels including the D7 and Battle Cruiser, Borg and Romulan ships.
Everything is fully approved by CBS Studios, the makers of the STAR TREK TV series.

- Star Trek: The Official Starships Collection part 101 features a Bajoran Freighter model, that first appeared in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode 'Ensign Ro'.
- The Bajoran freighter was an Antares-class vessel that was approximately 250 meters in length, and it was used for transporting cargo and passengers.
- By the 2360s, it was considered an antiquated vessel and many examples did not have warp power, with their top speed limited to half impulse.
- Also, many of the vessels did not possess visual communication capabilities and had to rely on audio channels only.
