Sikaflex® EBT+ is a one-part, moisture-curing polyurethane adhesive and sealant that combines strong bonding, sealing, and gap-filling capabilities. It adheres to a wide range of building materials and remains permanently flexible, making it ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications.

Product Details

• Colours: White, Grey, Black, Beige, Brown, Clear.
• Packaging: 300 ml cartridges.
• Coverage: Approximately 3.0 m per 300 ml cartridge for a 10 mm x 10 mm joint.
• Skin Time: Approximately 50 minutes at +23 °C and 50% relative humidity.
• Curing Rate: Approximately 4 mm per 24 hours at +23 °C and 50% relative humidity.
• Service Temperature: -40 °C to +80 °C.
• Shelf Life: 12 months from date of production if stored in unopened, undamaged original containers.
• Storage Conditions: Store in dry conditions, protected from direct sunlight, at temperatures between +10 °C and +25 °C.

Application Instructions

1. Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from contaminants.
2. Priming: Sikaflex® EBT+ adheres without primers on many substrates. For critical applications, refer to the product data sheet for recommended primers.
3. Application: Cut the cartridge tip, insert into a sealant gun, and apply in triangular beads, strips, or spots. Press components firmly together.
4. Tooling: Tool the sealant within the skin time to ensure good contact with joint sides.
5. Cleaning: Clean all tools and application equipment with Sika® Remover-208 or Thinner C immediately after use. Cured material can only be removed mechanically.

Limitations

• Do not use on bituminous substrates, natural rubber, EPDM rubber, or on building materials that might bleed oils, plasticisers, or solvents.
• Not suitable for sealing joints in and around swimming pools.
• Do not use for joints under water pressure or for permanent water immersion.
• Do not use to seal glass or for bonding glass if the bond line is exposed to sunlight.
• Do not use for structural bonding.
