Bituminous-Based Aluminium Protective Coating for Heat Reflection

EVERBUILD® BLACK JACK® 907 Solar Reflective Paint is a thin, bituminous-based aluminium protective paint with a brushable consistency that dries to a silvery finish. Specifically designed for application over primed metal walls and roofs, it effectively reduces heat absorption and prolongs the life of roof repairs and bituminous coatings by reflecting solar radiation.

Product Details

• Coverage: 4–6 m² per litre on porous surfaces; up to 11 m² per litre on non-porous surfaces
• Drying Time: Approximately 1 hour, depending on conditions

• Shelf Life: 24 months in unopened containers stored between 5°C and 25°C

Application Instructions

1. Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust, dirt, oil, grease, and loose material.
2. Stirring: Stir the paint thoroughly before use and periodically during application.
3. Application: Apply two coats by brush or mohair roller. The second coat should be applied as soon as the first coat is dry (1–2 hours).
4. Over Bituminous Coatings: Allow the following minimum periods after the final coat has dried before applying this product:
   • Hot applied products: 6 hours
   • Solvent-based coatings: 3 days
   • Water-based coatings: 2 weeks

Limitations

• Do not use in areas where subsequent solvent contact is likely.
• Not suitable for direct application to expanded polystyrene.
• Avoid inhalation of vapours in confined spaces.
• Stir well before use and during application.

Cleaning of Tools

Clean tools and equipment with white spirit immediately after use. Cured material must be removed mechanically.
