18cm Aquatic baskets - 3 Litre

An aquatic basket typically refers to a container designed for use underwater, often in aquatic gardening or aquascaping. Here's a general description:

1. **Material**: Aquatic baskets are typically made of a durable, non-toxic plastic material that is safe for aquatic environments. Some may also be made of materials like PVC or fabric.

2. **Design**: These baskets are usually designed with numerous perforations or holes throughout their structure. These openings allow water to flow freely in and out of the basket while retaining soil or substrate within.

3. **Size**: Aquatic baskets come in various sizes to accommodate different plants and aquatic environments. They can range from small baskets for individual plants to larger ones for creating underwater landscapes.

4. **Function**: The primary function of an aquatic basket is to hold aquatic plants and substrate securely in place while allowing roots to grow and spread within the water column. They provide stability for plants and prevent soil erosion in underwater environments.

5. **Usage**: Aquatic baskets are commonly used in pond gardening, aquarium landscaping, and water feature design. They are essential for creating visually appealing underwater gardens and maintaining healthy aquatic ecosystems.

6. **Variations**: Some aquatic baskets may come with built-in features like handles or anchor points to secure them in place. Others may have adjustable partitions or compartments for organizing plants or creating different levels within the container.

Overall, aquatic baskets play a crucial role in aquatic horticulture by providing a stable foundation for plants to thrive in submerged environments while facilitating proper water circulation and nutrient uptake.
