Purple sits right in that tricky space between red and blue — technically a dark magenta drifting between violet and crimson. That makes it perfect for adding nuance to clothes and figures built on red or blue bases, or for bridging the intermediate tones between the two. It's the colour that fills the gap when a scheme needs something the primaries can't quite reach.

Like the rest of the range it's a low-oil, ultra-fine pigment formula with a long working time, so keep it on the palette for those moments when a red or a blue needs pulling in a more interesting direction — xenos skin and vibrant accents on fantasy and sci-fi figures included.
The bridge tone between your reds and blues. Thin it with white spirit for glazing, and it works hand in hand with the rest of the Abteilung 502 oils.
