AIRTEC MOTORSPORT SIDE MOUNT INTERCOOLER FOR RENAULT MEGANE 4 280 & 300

Freshly developed at AIRTEC HQ in the UK, we’re proud to launch our uprated front mount intercooler aimed at modified Renault Megane Mk4 RS owners who want the very highest level of cooling efficiency, power and performance for track or fast road use.

The Design
For the Mk4 Megane, Renault Sport engineers focused on creating an overall cooling package that would allow it to maintain running temperatures under harsh track conditions. As a result, the radiator took president and a small but deep intercooler was located off to the left-hand side.

This presented issues in developing a larger intercooler, so our solution to increasing the size and performance within the confines of the limited space is based upon a stepped core design. This allowed an impressive 42% increase in overall capacity in comparison to the original intercooler, as well as an increase in frontal area to make the most of the air flow provided.

Together with our CAD-designed end tanks to ensure optimum air flow both in and out of the intercooler, the moulded one-piece designs ensure flow is directed correctly and efficiently. There is also an additional air scoop fitted to maximise frontal air flow to the core, as per the original intercooler.

Available in a high-quality powder coated black finish, the comprehensive kit is a direct replacement and comes with a replacement Pro Hoses silicone top pipe, whilst the bottom attaches to the original boost pipe and clip. It comes complete with all fixtures and fittings, as well as detailed fitting instructions.

Its proven cooling efficiency increase makes it an essential modification for all modified Megane MK4 RS models.
