Camlock Type C 3/4"

Camlock fittings, also known as cam and groove couplings, are quick-connect hose couplings used to rapidly connect and disconnect hoses or pipes in a variety of fluid transfer applications. They consist of two main components: a male adapter and a female coupler.

The male adapter has a groove-ring (hence the name "cam and groove") around its circumference, while the female coupler has cam arms that, when pulled back, allow the male adapter to be inserted. When the cam arms are released, they lock into place, creating a secure connection.

Camlock fittings are popular in industries such as agriculture, petroleum, chemical, and food processing, where frequent connections and disconnections are required without compromising safety or efficiency. Camlock fittings can come in a variety of materials such as aluminium, stainless steel, brass and polypropylene. These camlock fittings are made of PP, please check this is a suitable material for your intended use.

Camlock fittings offer several benefits, which contribute to their widespread use in various industries:

• Quick and Easy Connection: Camlock fittings allow for rapid connection and disconnection of hoses or pipes, saving time during setup and teardown processes. This feature is particularly advantageous in applications where frequent changes or maintenance are necessary.

• Secure Sealing: When properly connected, camlock fittings create a tight seal that prevents leaks, reducing the risk of spills and contamination. This sealing capability is crucial in applications where fluid integrity and safety are paramount.

• Interchangeability: Camlock fittings are designed to be interchangeable within their respective sizes and types. This interchangeability facilitates compatibility between different systems and components, offering flexibility and convenience in equipment setup and maintenance.

This is a 3/4" Type C camlock fitting. Type C camlocks have a female camlock end and a barb end of the same size. Type C camlock fittings are female couplers with a hose shank. They are suitable for connecting hoses to pipes or other fittings and are commonly used in applications requiring secure and leak-proof connections.
