Cranked Band & Hook on Plates Hinges – Epoxy Black – Pair
Epoxy black Cranked Band & Hook on Plates hinges provide robust, traditional gate hardware with a cranked (offset) band to help centralise the gate within the frame and improve clearance over posts or irregular cladding. The band fixes to the gate and drops onto plate-mounted hooks on the post for quick installation and easy lift-off maintenance. The tough baked-on black coating delivers durable corrosion and scuff resistance with a smart, low-gloss finish.
Key Features & Benefits
- Cranked (Offset) Band: Helps centre the gate and provides clearance past posts, cladding or furniture.

- Durable Epoxy Finish: Hard-wearing black coating for outdoor longevity and clean aesthetics.

- Fix hook plates plumb on the post; ensure both hooks align on the same vertical line and at consistent projection.
- Mount cranked bands to the gate, then lift the gate onto the hooks; check for free swing, correct centring and clearance.
- Use coach screws on larger/heavier gates and pilot-drill to reduce splitting.
Limitations & Precautions
- Confirm hinge rating and use appropriate fixings for very heavy or high-traffic gates.
- In harsh coastal environments, periodic inspection and maintenance are recommended.
- Re-check fixings and alignment after initial settling.
