Safety Advice:
Candles can create a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere as well as add a beautiful aesthetic to a room. However, it is important to use candles safely and responsibly. Here are some tips to help you do so:
- Place candles away from flammable materials, including curtains, furniture, and other items.
- Keep candles out of the reach of children and pets.
- Use a proper candle holder that can contain the melted wax and catch any falling embers.
- Extinguish candles when you leave the room or go to sleep.
- Trim your candle wicks to 1/4 inch before lighting them so they will burn more slowly and evenly.
- Do not move a lit candle.
- Never use water to extinguish a candle.
- Do not burn multiple candles close together; they can create too much heat and become a fire hazard.
- For outdoor candles, make sure they are placed in a sheltered area away from the wind.
- Always use caution when lighting and extinguishing a candle.
Following these guidelines will help ensure that you enjoy the beauty of candles without putting your safety at risk.
