Didi Hamann Men's Hoodie
Didi Hamann Hoodie - The Man Who Changed Istanbul at Half-Time
3-0 down at half-time in the Champions League final. Rafa Benítez made a change. Didi Hamann came on. Liverpool won on penalties. The tactical substitution that defined the most famous comeback in European football history - Hamann providing the defensive anchor that allowed Liverpool to control the middle of the pitch and eventually equalise. His name on this hoodie belongs to that night.
Champions League winner 2005. FA Cup winner 2001 and 2006. UEFA Cup winner 2001. 193 Liverpool appearances. 59 Germany caps.
Dietmar Hamann joined Liverpool from Newcastle United in 1999 and spent eight seasons at Anfield - a defensive midfielder of composure, efficiency and tactical intelligence. His contribution to the 2001 treble and the 2005 Champions League campaign - particularly the Istanbul final - secured his place in the club's history. For Germany he earned 59 caps and was part of the squad that reached the 2002 World Cup final and won the 2010 World Cup third-place playoff. After retiring he managed Stockport County and became a widely respected pundit.
