A bright, slightly spicy opening of ginger, grapefruit, orange, lime and lemon leads into an aromatic-woody heart of cypress, cardamom, mahogany, geranium and sage, before settling into a warm base of vanilla, cedar, benzoin, vetiver and patchouli.
About Hugo
Hugo Boss was founded in Metzingen, Germany, in 1924 and is best known for sharply tailored menswear. The Hugo line is the more youthful, edgier sub-brand within the wider Boss universe, and its fragrances — produced under licence by Coty — have followed the same rebellious-but-polished spirit since the original Hugo for men in 1995. Hugo Dark Blue, in its blue glass flacon, was a defining contribution to the late-90s wave of "blue bottle" masculine fragrances.

Two to three sprays balance well; the cedar-and-vetiver drydown develops over the first hour and gives the eau de toilette comfortable wear into the evening.
