Magic Johnson Men's Hoodie

Magic Johnson Hoodie - The Showtime Point Guard Who Changed Basketball

Five NBA championships. Three Finals MVPs. The Showtime Lakers. Magic Johnson didn't just play basketball - he performed it, filling the Forum with a joy and spectacle that made Los Angeles fall in love with the sport. His name on this hoodie belongs to the greatest point guard who ever played the game.

5x NBA Champion with LA Lakers. 3x Finals MVP. 3x Regular Season MVP. 12x All-Star. 1992 Olympic Dream Team gold medallist.

Earvin 'Magic' Johnson grew up in Lansing, Michigan and arrived in the NBA at 20 - leading the Los Angeles Lakers to the 1980 championship in his first season, playing centre in the deciding game after Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was injured, and scoring 42 points. Five championships followed across the decade of Showtime basketball- the fast breaks, the no-look passes, the infectious personality that made every game an event and every moment worth watching.

His announcement in November 1991 that he was HIV positive - in an era when such a diagnosis carried enormous stigma - was a watershed moment in both sport and public health. His return to the court for the 1992 Olympics as part of the Dream Team, and briefly in the 1992 All-Star Game and 1996 season, confirmed a man who refused to let the diagnosis define his legacy. He was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2002 and has since built a business empire that rivals his playing career in scope and ambition.

Players Couture - Made to Order, Sustainably Produced

Every Magic hoodie is made to order - no waste, no bulk. The Players Couture basketball catalogue covers Showtime legends and NBA greats, in hoodies, t-shirts, polo shirts and kids sizes. Want your own? Create your own at Players Couture.

Players Couture is an independent fan label. We always encourage supporters to buy official merchandise first - but we recognise that official merchandise doesn't always exist for every player, every legend or every cultural figure that fans want to represent. That's why Players Couture was created. Our products are not official merchandise and are not produced in partnership with, endorsed by or affiliated with any club, player, governing body or rights holder. Player and team names are used respectfully in a fan tribute context. If any club, player or individual would prefer their name not to appear in our catalogue, we will respectfully remove it upon request. We make charitable donations to grassroots sports initiatives and hope one day to work directly with the clubs and individuals who inspire us. Everything we produce is made with genuine admiration and support for the people whose names we carry - and for the fans who love them.
