Honouring a Weightlifting Icon

Naim Suleymanoglu, known as the "Pocket Hercules," is widely regarded as one of the most dominant figures in weightlifting. Born in Bulgaria in 1967, Suleymanoglu went on to represent Turkey, becoming a household name with his unmatched strength and determination. His incredible career includes three Olympic gold medals (1988, 1992, 1996), cementing his place in weightlifting history as one of the sport's most successful athletes.

He also set multiple world records throughout his career, with a total of 46 world records across various weightlifting categories. His unique ability to lift more than his body weight, including the astonishing feat of lifting 190kg in the clean and jerk at just 62kg bodyweight, made him an icon and an inspiration for generations of athletes.

In addition to his Olympic triumphs, Suleymanoglu was a four-time world champion and seven-time European champion. His performances on the international stage made him a beloved figure among fans of weightlifting, with many considering him the greatest weightlifter of all time.

Players Couture - Made to Order, Sustainably Produced

Players Couture is an independent fan label. We always encourage supporters to buy official merchandise first - but we recognise that official merchandise doesn't always exist for every player, every legend or every cultural figure that fans want to represent. That's why Players Couture was created. Our products are not official merchandise and are not produced in partnership with, endorsed by or affiliated with any club, player, governing body or rights holder. Player and team names are used respectfully in a fan tribute context. If any club, player or individual would prefer their name not to appear in our catalogue, we will respectfully remove it upon request. We make charitable donations to grassroots sports initiatives and hope one day to work directly with the clubs and individuals who inspire us. Everything we produce is made with genuine admiration and support for the people whose names we carry - and for the fans who love them.

The Players Couture catalogue covers football, golf, boxing, rugby, cricket, basketball, Formula 1 and beyond - in hoodies, t-shirts, polo shirts and kids sizes. Create your own at Players Couture.
