Garden of Eden
This exquisite artwork, originating from 9th February 1906, was originally crafted by Flemish weavers Felix Vanoutryve, renowned for their prominent upholstery fabric manufacture in Belgium. Serving as a template for textile weaving, designers meticulously painted this botanical piece using gouache, embellishing it with intricate maker's marks and grids. Its purpose was to be transformed into luxurious tapestry fabrics for furnishing and enhancing interior spaces.
To preserve its beauty, this artwork has been faithfully reproduced using digital printing techniques, on ethically sourced materials honouring both the artistry and sustainability.
