Deglet Nour is the cook's date: firmer and noticeably less sweet than Medjool, so it holds its shape when chopped into bakes and savoury dishes. Grown in Tunisia and supplied pitted, these organic dates provide 8g of fibre, 63.35g of naturally occurring sugars and 282kcal per 100g – one ingredient, nothing added. Suitable for vegan and vegetarian diets.

FAQ

How do Deglet Nour dates differ from Medjoul? Deglet Nour is smaller, firmer and less sweet – better for cooking – while Organic Dried Medjoul Dates are larger, softer and more caramel-like for eating as they are.

Are they completely stone-free? They are pitted, but as with any pitted date they may occasionally contain stones or fragments, so check before blending.

Is there a baking-ready chopped option? Yes – our Dates Chopped come in small pieces rolled in rice flour so they stay free-flowing in mixes.
