For best results, use Periogen Oral Rinse after each brushing. Periogen Gel toothpaste does not contain foaming agents such as SLS (Sodium Laurel Sulfate). SLS has now been banned in Europe over safety concerns but is still an ingredient in many toothpastes under less stringent US cosmetic laws. Periogen toothpaste does not foam up during brushing like toothpastes containing SLS.
