Because Pit Viper sits so close to the bar, it suits athletes who like a minimalist setup for pull-ups, toes-to-bar and fast transitions. The pinky cutout helps grip placement, while the updated wrist padding and wider strap improve comfort without adding unnecessary bulk. This makes it a strong option for skilled athletes who want their grips to interfere as little as possible with bar feel.
Pit Viper is not the most protective grip in the range, and it is not trying to be. It is for athletes who want direct feedback, freedom and adaptability across chalked and non-chalked setups. If you prefer more cushioning or train in especially abrasive high-volume environments, Panda or BumbleBee may be better fits. Choose Narrow or Wide based on wrist fit, both can be trimmed to preference.
