YJ MGC Square-1 V2 UV
YJ MGC Square-1 V2 (White + Yellow) – Premium UV-Coated Magnetic Square-1
The YJ MGC Square-1 V2 is the latest evolution of one of the most popular Square-1 speedcubes ever made, featuring a UV-coated exterior, refined design, and smooth magnetic performance. Built on the success of the original MGC Square-1, the V2 delivers a more premium feel while maintaining the stability and control that made the series so popular.
This version comes in a white + yellow colour scheme, offering a clean, traditional Square-1 look. With a compact size of approximately 54×56mm, it feels comfortable in the hands and is well-suited for both speedsolving and longer practice sessions.
The addition of a UV-coated surface provides a noticeably glossier, grippier finish compared to the frosted V1, helping to improve control during faster solves. Combined with the magnetic positioning system, this results in a stable, precise, and consistent turning experience.
Key Features
- Magnetic positioning – improved alignment and control during shape-shifting
- UV-coated exterior – enhanced grip with a premium glossy finish
- 54×56mm size – compact and comfortable for all solving styles
- Refined turning feel – smooth, stable, and more consistent than previous versions
- Classic white + yellow colour scheme – traditional Square-1 appearance
Why Choose the MGC Square-1 V2?
The V2 is the best choice for cubers who want a more premium Square-1 experience. The UV coating gives it a noticeably more refined feel in the hands, while the updated design maintains excellent stability and control.
Compared to the MGC Square-1 V1, the V2 offers a more premium finish and slightly improved overall feel, making it a worthwhile upgrade for many cubers.
While the core performance is similar, the improved grip and finish make the V2 especially appealing for faster solvers and those who prefer a more polished cube.
Which Version Should You Choose?
If you're looking for the best value option, the V1 remains an excellent choice. However, if you want a more premium feel and improved grip, the V2 is the better option and represents the latest version of the MGC Square-1.
